A Teaching By Venerable Sumati

About The Event
"Man cannot come to Truth through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, not through any philosophical knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection." – Krishnamurti
On this special day, the day a Mahatma was born, we invite you to walk your way into inner transformation, with several people in history who walked down this path, revolutionizing their time. And who continue to remain relevant today. Reunite with your Buddha-nature. Not by knowledge, not by discipline, not by precepts, not by words, nor without them'. That is the important thing – not by these things, but not without them also.
Venerable Sumati will show us the way.
Venerable Sumati (Kabir Saxena) was born to an English mother and an Indian father and raised in both Delhi and London, attending Oxford University. He has a degree in Modern History.
He met his main teachers Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 1979 and has been living and working in FPMT Centres almost ever since, including helping to establish Root Institute and serving as its Director for many years, before being ordained as a monk in 2002. He is currently the Spiritual Programme Coordinator at Tushita Delhi.
Venerable Sumati has been teaching Buddhism to Westerners and Indians in India and Nepal since 1988 and presents the Dharma in an appropriately humorous and meaningful way for modern students.
