About The Event
Difficulties are inevitable in human life. For one thing, we cannot escape the reality of death. But there are also the realities of ageing, of illness, of not getting what we want, and of getting what we don’t want. These kinds of difficulties are facts of life. What to do?
We requested Venerable Karma Lekshe Tsomo to help us navigate these issues.
Venerable Karma Lekshe Tsomo has the amazing gift of making one feel grounded and held. To be in her presence is an appreciation for the inner fortitude of ancient wisdom and to experience radiant joy and warmth.
An ordained Buddhist nun, a scholar, a professor, a social worker, and an activist, Venerable is the embodiment of a tireless Karmayogi. She is the embodiment of humility, grace and loving-kindness, and there is so much to learn from this American girl who left her life of surfing the tall waves in Hawaii and Japan to dedicate her life to following the Buddha's Path and ultimately, showing us the way to skilfully surf the waves of Samsāra.
