He practiced and taught zazen meditation for more than 18 years, including several years at Valley Zendo in Massachusetts, USA. In 2001, he took Theravadan bhikku ordination in the Burmese forest monk tradition, and trained in shamatha and vipassana meditation in Burma and Sri Lanka. Since 2006, he has also been studying Tibetan Buddhism under Trulshik Rinpoche and Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.

About Vajradhatu

Vajradhatu is a brand new retreat center, located in the hills of Nigde Budruk Village, Velhe Talka, about 35 km (1 hour) from Pune city. Far from the buzz of the city, it has 7 acres of land on which much planting has been done. More than 600 saplings have been planted. Efforts are being taken to have a farm that will provide fresh vegetables there. A concrete road which connects the main entrance to the buildings has been laid. Fresh water is supplied to the center from a well dug specifically for Vajradhatu. http://vajradhatu.in/
